Full-time Nanny (short or long term - please see below) required for a Roosevelt Island family with an infant girl, starting February 2026. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care and interacting with their daughter in an engaging, safe and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be loving, reliable and looking to partner with parents who value mutual respect and good communication. The ideal candidate is a trustworthy and experienced individual who can provide hands on, calm and caring care in any situation.

Both parents work in the medical field with changing schedules and Dad is away mid week due to work commitments. Candidates who can adapt to the evolving needs of their busy home are essential, including flexibility with overall schedule and willingness to chip in and support the smooth running of the home.

Location: Roosevelt Island, NYC (Family will relocate to Hoboken area, NJ by end of June 2026). Family is open to securing a short or long term nanny (Feb - June 2026 only, or a candidate who is looking for a long term role and willing to commute to Roosevelt Island until the summer, and then NJ long term)

Start date: No later than February, 2026

Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours a week with expected hours landing between 7.15am - 6.30pm; Monday through Friday. General schedule will be 8am - 4:30pm with 1-2 days a week will be 7:30am - 6pm due to clinic schedule.

Some flexibility for additional hours and occasional midweek overnights is required - determined by the parents changing work / on call hours. No current travel is expected with this role.

Children: One infant girl (born September 2025)

Conditions: $25 - $35 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee + all hours over 40hr paid at x1.5 rate) plus unlimited monthly metrocard/travel equivalent plus sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. Due to hospital schedules, candidates willing to work some public holidays (with advance notice - days will be paid) is essential. *dependent on experience

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

  • Authorization to work in the US and interest in being paid as a W2 employee
  • Ability to commit long term to a family
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with multiple families with young children
  • A well-suited demeanor + recent experience working with infants and young toddlers
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, loving care and high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to complete light, infant related housekeeping duties (laundry, meal preparation, organization, etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state
  • Experience in partnering + supporting parents with infant and toddler milestones + goals (daughter is formula fed)
  • Education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy household
  • Ability to sustain a short term commute to Roosevelt Island (until Summer 2026) and then to Hoboken area, NJ long term
