Full Time live-out Nanny required for a Brooklyn Heights family with an infant daughter (born August 2025) starting no later than early January 2026. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child-related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their infant daughter in an active, engaging, and age-appropriate way.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone who is experienced, loving and nurturing who truly loves kids! The first-time parents are looking for a long term partnership with a likeminded individual who is looking to support a busy, dual working household. The ideal candidate is engaged during wake windows, experienced with newborn and toddler milestones and will take initiative to organize playdates, classes, etc in the neighborhood. Strong communication and common sense/good judgment are key to this role. A mature, level headed and patient nanny will be a strong match for this family.

Location: Brooklyn Heights, NY

Start date: no later than January 2026 (Mom returns to work mid January)

Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours/week: General schedule to land Monday through Thursday 8.30-5.30pm and morning hours on Friday. Availability to flex as needed for infrequent earlier/later days, and a full day on Friday as needed is desired. No overtime or date night care is expected (sporadic if needed). No travel is anticipated for this position.

Children: Daughter (born August 2025)

Conditions: $30 - $35 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee + all hours over 40hr paid at x1.5 rate) plus monthly metrocard and standard sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays plus possible healthcare stipend *dependent on experience and other considerations.

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

  • Authorization to work in the United States (paid as a W2 employee)
  • A minimum of 5-10 years experience as a nanny
  • Recent experience working with an infant is strongly preferred
  • A well-suited demeanor for working with infants and eventual toddlers
  • Experience and confidence with transition to solids
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
  • Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • An open and flexible schedule
  • Ability to complete all child-related duties (including, but not limited to: child meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying nursery and play areas, child's laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
  • A professional appearance
  • Loves dogs - the family has a high energy and loving Australian Shepherd! A candidate who is open to daily walks would be a bonus!
  • Fluency in English - additional language (Hebrew) preferred but not required
